Causes of fluctuations in point clouds

  1. Reflections from ambient light or workpiece surfaces can result in fluctuations in point clouds.

  2. Fluctuations and warping at the edges of point clouds are likely related to the camera’s algorithms.

  3. Temperature drift is not expected to significantly impact point cloud imaging during a single scan. However, when comparing the results of multiple continuous scans, an increase in scan times correlates with a larger temperature drift.
