Considerations when one camera captures images of two or more bins

Issue

When a camera captures images of two bins (containers) simultaneously, the height of the side walls of the bins (containers) may cause obstruction to the recognition of target items, resulting in certain blind spots at the bottom of the bins.

Note

  • When multiple bins share one camera, especially in cases where the workpieces are small and the bins are deep, such obstruction is likely to occur. In actual projects, it is recommended to avoid using this camera layout unless the bin walls do not obstruct the target workpieces.

  • For scenarios with either deep bins or small workpieces, it is recommended to position a single bin under the camera and as close to the center of the camera’s field of view as possible.
