Complete Point Cloud with Anomalies: Point Cloud Fluctuations (Periodic Waves) Caused by Surrounding Interferences

Local fluctuations can be observed in the point cloud.

  1. Regular fluctuations are observed in the camera’s point cloud.

  2. Upon analyzing the data, it is determined that the interference is caused by the reflection of the camera’s light projection onto the side cylindrical pillar, which then reflects back onto the workpiece, causing interference.

  3. Based on the identified cause of the problem, eliminating the interfering object or disrupting the interference path is necessary to resolve this issue.

Eliminate the interfering object: Enclose the cylindrical pillar or grind its surface to transform it from mirror reflection to diffuse reflection, disrupting the interference path. This solution resolves the problem.
