After downloading the latest version of the software on my personal laptop, Vision and Viz cannot be opened. It displays “mmind_vision.exe; Start Error.” How should I proceed?

You can check if the CPU version of your laptop is too old:
When trying to install version 1.7.0 or higher, running the software results in an error that says “mmind_property.dll” cannot be found. I used Dependency Walker to check for DLL dependencies, but no missing dependencies were found.

Error Cause

The computer’s CPU is too old and does not support the AVX2 instruction set, while the 1.7.x software was compiled with the AVX2 compilation option enabled by default.

Solution

  1. Do not use an Intel CPU that is older than the 6th generation.
