Adjust laser camera's 2D exposure for highly reflective workpieces

How can we adjust the 2D exposure for highly reflective metal parts when using the same-texture photography method with a laser camera?
If workpieces are closely attached, it will result in the issue of workpiece edge adhesion on the generated black and white image. Is it necessary to lower the target grayscale value and then enhance the image brightness again to use it?

  2. A color version camera can be used to increase edge color contrast.
